Design a Dream Events was founded and created by a woman who had a design and event planning personality starting at a very young age. At a very young age, Jana, the owner of Design A Dream Events, was given the nickname "D.O.". What does "D.O." stand for you ask?! Detail Oriented! Growing up, Jana was always the one planning surprise parties for her friends + family, or taking over the details for the next great adventure they had planned. She loved everything that went into the designing and coordinating aspect, as well as the contagious excitement it gave the people she loved. Even though Jana wasn't aware that one day she would take over the event planning + design industry, the universe knew! That nickname would be the beginning to a great journey that is now called Design A Dream Events!

We are storytellers of your love story, your personal organization team, and your creative team to collaborate or coordinate every detail!

Meet Jana Ingraham, the founder and owner of both Design A Dream Events and Studio 44 Design Co.. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Jana has always had a deep passion for designing and planning. Jana had the opportunity to assist with a handful of weddings and events starting in 2008. Immediately, she knew she was born to be an Event Planner! Jana threw herself into the business, soaked up as much as she could about the industry, and dove head first into every possible class, workshop, and seminar. Ultimately, this lead to the launch of Design A Dream Events in 2012 continuing to plan and design numerous weddings and events ...And we must say, the rest is history! In her leisure time you can find her in the gym, loving on her family, hanging with her girls, or soaking up the sun by the water!

Meet Pam! She is my right hand girl! Pam is originally from Acapulco, Mexico where she received a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, and started out as an assistant event coordinator in the wedding industry. This is where she fell in love with every aspect of this profession! She has been part of the Design a Dream team for 7 years now! Throughout those years, she has assisted with the planning and coordination of over 250 weddings. She is a hard worker who focuses on every detail. Pam will go the extra mile to make sure that every event runs smoothly, and that every couple and their family has the best day ever! When she's not working on weddings + events, Pam loves spending time with family, traveling, cooking and walking on the beach!

Project Manager + Executive Assistant Event Coordinator
Meet Myan! She is our detail queen that helps keep it all together on the back end! She is a graduate from UNCG with a major in Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies accompanied by a concentration in Global Apparel and Related Industries. Her passion for wedding planning derives from her love of designing, crafting, and her detail-oriented personality. Her attention to detail and extraordinary organization is what makes her a great fit for the team. She dreams of one day becoming a wedding planner and is now pursuing that dream at Design A Dream Events! In her spare time, she enjoys gaming, painting, and hanging out with friends.
Tiffany Sheets
Assistant Event Coordinator
Meet Tiffany! She is our jack of all trades! She is a graduate from UNCW with a Bachelor’s in Science in Business Management, Bachelor’s in Arts in Recreation Management, and a Master’s in Healthcare Admin. Tiffany's interest in wedding planning began at a young age drawing wedding dress designs and creating extravagant weddings on paper. She is now pursuing that dream here at Design A Dream Events! She also works as an Event Coordinate with the American Heart Association. For fun, she loves art, photography, and dance.
Kayla Huntzberry
Assistant Event Coordinator
Meet Kayla! She's our quick on her toes and strong backbone to the team! She is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance. She has always wanted to be in the wedding industry and is now pursuing that by being a part of Design A Dream Events. Her favorite part is executing the small details that make every wedding unique. She also works remotely for her family’s business in MD as the Accounting/HR Manager. In her spare time, she loves going to the beach, playing sports with her fiancé, and hanging out with their 2 cats.
Sami Packard
Assistant Event Coordinator
Meet Sami! She's all smiles and learns fast! Sami moved to Wilmington in 2020 to be close to the beach. She is originally from Wisconsin, where she graduated from UW-Madison with her bachelor’s degree in communication studies. She gained a passion for weddings while working at Tropez Salon where she is the lead coordinator for wedding hair and makeup. Having the experience of consistent communication with brides through Tropez is what intrigued her to purse a career in wedding and event coordination. Her communication skills, attentiveness, and love for weddings makes her a perfect fit for our Design a Dream team. In her spare time she loves to hang out at the beach, take spontaneous trips, and spend quality time with her friends and family.
Jordan Fields
Associate Lead Designer
Meet Jordan! She's our girl with an eye for design! She is new to the Wilmington area and our newest addition to Studio 44 Design Co.! She recently graduated with her Interior Design Degree with a concentration in Commercial Design from Wake Technical. She previously Graduated from Johnson & Wales University (Charlotte) with an Associate in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship. Her passion for creativity comes to light through her designs. Her favorite part of designing is helping the client bring their vision of the space to life. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, creating new dishes, and spending time with her friends and family.
Design a Dream Events has an internship program for anyone who shares the same passion and philosophy as we do! Each internship lasts a minimum of 3 months. If you are interested in an internship, feel free to email us with a copy of your resume. We would love to have you on board.
