Christian + Katy | Landfall Wedding

Talking about Katy and Christian’s wedding always puts a smile on our faces. Their contagious love and happiness made this day one that everybody truly enjoyed.

Their ceremony took place at the stunning Basilica Shrine of St. Mary on a perfect Saturday afternoon on September 10th, 2016. After the wedding party walked down the aisle, the flower girl and ring bearer gave way to the moment everyone was anticipating: the bride’s walk. Our gaze immediately fell to the groom. He couldn’t hold back his tears of joy once he saw Katy. His future was walking towards him, and a really beautiful one by the way. This moment is by far one of our favorites when it comes to the day of the wedding!

After the ceremony, the guests were welcomed into cocktail hour at The Country Club of Landfall. The guests took advantage of the venue's delightful lakeside views. Before guiding the guests into the ballroom for the reception, we brought Christian & Katy in for an exclusive first look. It is safe to say that they were astonished by the result!

The ballroom was a blush pink and gold heaven. The tables were intertwined with tall and short floral centerpieces provided by Beautiful Flowers by June. Glass globes lit by tea lights hung over each banquet table, and a fairy light wall cascading behind sheer draping set a magical atmosphere thanks to Event Excellence Light & Sound. Last, but definitely not least, an exquisite four tier cake with gold flakes and detailed sugar flowers by One Belle Bakery made everyone's jaw drop.

A plated surf and turf dinner was served to each guest while everyone experienced beautiful dances and very emotional speeches. Needless to say, we definitely couldn't “stop the feeling”…and the dancing throughout the evening, thanks to Active DJ Entertainment who always knows how to throw a good party.

The night closed with a beautiful and classic sparkler send off. The happily married couple left the venue in a British Taxi from Cape Fear Limo while their guests, who came from all over the world, waved goodbye to them. Christian and Katy's special day was very magical and everything you would imagine when thinking of a fairytale wedding.
