Sarah + Justin | Poplar Grove Plantation Wedding

Despite a drizzly-day that forced their outdoor ceremony indoors, Sarah & Justin had a beautiful wedding at the delightful Poplar Grove Plantation on May 13th, 2017.

The original plan was to have their wedding ceremony at the back courtyard of the Manor House in front of an astonishing circled arbor! Well, plan A didn’t work for us that day but let us tell you, plan B turned out to be JUST AS BEAUTIFUL if not more! The arbor, designed by Pink Blooms Florist, made of lush greenery, pink and white garden roses was assembled inside of a very charming barn located on the plantation’s property. The draping and the up-lighting, installed by Event Excellence Light & Sound, amped-up the delicate arbor details resulting in a stunning background for their ceremony. The drizzly day made their ceremony even more romantic to say the least!

After the bridesmaids and groomsman, two lovely read-headed flower girls walked down the aisle as we closed the barn doors behind them. Justin patiently waited for his future wife beside his best man who happened to be his father! Finally, we opened the doors to or gorgeous bride and her dad. From that moment to the end of the night, Justin & Sarah couldn’t take their eyes away from each other.

The wedding party proceeded to take pictures together while the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in another beautifully decorated barn. The venue was full of mason-jar lights that hung from the ceiling, giving a whimsical glow reminiscent of fireflies. The alternated round and banquet tables had pink-blush and white floral-centerpieces that went perfectly with the gold chargers, provided by L&L Tent and Party Rentals.

The reception began with the wedding party announcement and Mr. & Mrs. Carroll’s grand entrance. After sweet dances, a blessing was given, followed by a very tasty dinner supplied by Middle of the Island Catering.

Active DJ Entertainment livened the crowd with some up-beat tunes until it was time for cake! One Belle Bakery’s delightful three-tier cake was sitting on top of a golden sequin linen, provided by Design a Dream Events, and was adorned by fresh florals and a special cake topper of two figures kayaking together. We really enjoyed seeing our lovely couple incorporating personal touches, like the cake topper and the guest-signing-OARS, that tell a little bit about their story and personalities.

The night end with their loved ones tossing flower petals over them as a sweet farewell, creating the perfect send-off for Sarah and Justin! At the end of the day, “Rain is a good thing” isn’t it? After all, they say it's good luck! Now, we know you can’t wait to see the lovely pictures that KMI Photography captured, so we’ll leave you to it!
